Good to see your posts and hear that all is well :-)
We decided (after my recker last night on bamboo island...caused by some foriegn invader in my body :-p) to forgo the ten hour bus trip to Saigon/Ho Chi Minh City, because not only are we still loving Cambodia but I also couldn't take gaps of less than 10ft to the washroom ;-) lol too much information I am sure...
So we have ended up in Kampot! We hitched a mini bus from the guesthouse in sohanoukville and along with a lot of other Cambodians (17 in a 10 seater ;-) headed the hour and a bit ride to where we are now. The ride was uneventful, short of seat sharing and kierans toes almost being fully puked on by a young Cambodge woman.
We plan to check out the National park here and might hit up the coast line by Kep. We will post some more pictures soon.... ;-)

hi u 2: sounds like a good plan to have stayed off a bus for 10 hours with your gut being the way it is. hope by now your tummy / gut is on the mend, charissa. hope your time exploring the national park is interesting and that you get a little more time on the coast. all is well with us. eleanor is here visiting for the wkend. we will write an e-mail at the start of next week. hugs xo mammy / bridey
ReplyDeleteI thought I would add to what bridey posted to let Kieran know that your mammy and I went off yesterday afternoon to have coffee with Blake. He was staying up in Crofton with his girlfriend and her parents. They were all on flying back to Calgary and we got together at Broadmead Village. Blake looks good and his girlfriend Megan seemed like a really positive young woman. Blake is doing very well. Still working in the concrete trade. He told us to send you his regards. Charissa, sorry to hear about the bug in your tummy but I am sure you will get over it in a day or two. Keep enjoying Cambodia.
